Law Practice Overview:

OWCP – Federal Workers’ Compensation Claims
EEOC – Failure to provide a reasonable accommodation for a medical condition before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission
MSPB – Litigation of adverse job actions before the Merit Systems Protection Board
OPM – Disability retirement applications before the Office of Personnel Management

I have been practicing law since June of 1980 and my office is located just outside of Washington DC.  My practice is devoted primarily to the representation of federal government employees.  I can provide legal representation in all aspects of a job related dispute a federal government worker has with an agency.

My main area of work is before the OWCP.  I pursue claims under the federal workers’ compensation act at all levels:  the district office of OWCP which may have denied a claim for federal workers compensation or terminated existing benefits; an appeal of an adverse district decision to the OWCP branch of hearings and review by way of an oral hearing or review of the written record; and finally the appeal of an OWCP decision in a federal workers’ compensation claim to the Employees’ Compensation Appeals Board.

My biggest strength is in the ability to present medical evidence clearly and accurately but in the light most favorable to the claimant.  It must be understood that the men and women who past judgment on your claim are not doctors and you will not be successful in a federal workers compensation claim before the OWCP without a good presentation.  If OWCP does not understand your position you should call for assistance.

As you know, federal workers’ compensation claims before the OWCP lead to other workplace issues.  If your agency fails to provide a reasonable accommodation, I can help before the EEOC.  If you medical condition prevents you from rendering effective federal service, I can represent you in your disability retirement application with OPM, as well as a potential scheduled award with OWCP under the federal employees compensation act.  If your medical condition leads to an adverse job action, I can provide legal representation before the Merit Systems Protection Board.  In short, if you have a problem with your federal employment you should call my office.
